History, tradition and technology

We are one of the main producers of Serrano ham (jamón serrano) and Iberian ham (jamón ibérico). Campodulce is part of Grupo Jorge, which is one of Spain’s largest meat-producers and boasts more than 75 years of experience in the industry. The group’s annual turnover is in excess of 450 million euros.

Our facilities combine the most modern techniques with the craftsmanship and artisanal approach that are essential to the production of cured ham.

All our production processes are fully automated and robotized, meaning the products are not contaminated through handling.

PRODUCTION CAPACITY

We have two large production facilities, each specializing in products of a particular type: those made from the meat of “white”, or non-Iberian-breed pigs (cerdo blanco), and those made from the meat of Iberian-breed pigs (cerdo ibérico).

CERDO BLANCO

Our main production centre is located in Zuera (Zaragoza), where we have one of the most modern ham-curing facilities in Europe:

  • Production capacity in excess of 700,000 units.
  • Each unit is given a unique identifier, ensuring complete traceability and uniformity across all our ham products.

CERDO IBÉRICO

We have a facility that is exclusively dedicated to products made from ibérico pork. The plant is located in Fregenal de la Sierra, Extremadura, a region that is famed for producing the very best ibérico pork.

  • Production capacity of 830,000 units per year.
